Pricing is primarily based on the number of internal users who need to access, manage, or work with WeChat or WeCom data inside Dynamics 365.

Licensing Model

Licensed by internal named users

An internal user means a member of your organisation who needs to access or use WeChat or WeCom-related data, features, or records inside Dynamics 365.

Internal users

This may include sales users, customer service agents, marketing users, account managers, operations users, consultants, or system administrators who actively work with connector data.

Starts from 10 users

The subscription starts from a minimum of 10 internal users. Additional users can be added as your team grows or as more departments start using the solution.

WeCom Message Archiving

If your organisation wants to capture and synchronise WeCom chat conversations into Dynamics 365, WeCom Message Archiving may be required.

Reference: ¥900 / user / year

This is a Tencent WeCom paid feature and is separate from the Crimson connector subscription. Where applicable, customers can purchase Tencent WeCom subscriptions and paid features through Crimson.

Additional WeCom external contact quota

WeCom accounts include a standard external contact quota. If your organisation requires additional external contact capacity, extra quota may be purchased from WeCom.

Reference: ¥0.1 / additional contact

This fee is charged by Tencent/WeCom and is separate from the Crimson connector subscription.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 licences

Your organisation is responsible for maintaining the required Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Customer Insights, Sales, Customer Service, or Power Platform licences depending on your solution scope.

WeChat, WeCom, or Tencent platform fees

Any fees charged by Tencent, WeChat, WeCom, WeChat Open Platform, WeChat Official Account, Mini Program, Message Archiving, verification, messaging, or related platform services are the responsibility of the customer.

Additional configuration or professional services

If your implementation requires additional configuration, customisation, data migration, custom development, advanced reporting, bespoke automation, or additional training beyond the included setup hours, this will be quoted separately.

Customer-specific hosting or deployment requirements

Our standard subscription includes hosting of the integration service by Crimson. If your organisation requires a different deployment model, such as customer-owned cloud hosting, private deployment, dedicated infrastructure, or additional compliance controls, this may require a separate quotation.

How are the WeChat Connector and WeCom Connector licensed?

Our connectors are licensed through a subscription model based primarily on the number of internal users who access or work with WeChat or WeCom data inside Dynamics 365. The minimum subscription starts from 10 internal users.

What counts as an internal user?

An internal user is someone in your organisation who needs to access, manage, send, view, or work with WeChat or WeCom-related data inside Dynamics 365. This may include sales users, customer service agents, marketing users, account managers, consultants, operations users, and administrators.

Is the licence based on the number of WeChat followers or WeCom contacts?

No. The Crimson connector subscription is primarily based on internal users, not the number of WeChat followers or WeCom contacts. However, Tencent/WeCom may charge separate fees for certain platform features, such as Message Archiving or additional external contact quota.

What is the minimum subscription size?

The minimum subscription is 10 internal users.

Can we add more users later?

Yes. Additional users can be added as your team grows or as more departments start using the connector.

Can customers purchase Tencent WeCom subscriptions through Crimson?

Yes. As a Tencent WeCom service partner, Crimson can help customers purchase applicable Tencent WeCom subscriptions and paid WeCom features through us, subject to availability and customer requirements.

Is hosting included?

Yes. Our standard subscription includes hosting of the integration service by Crimson. The connector middleware is hosted, managed, monitored, and maintained by Crimson as part of the managed connector service, unless a different deployment model is agreed.

Is implementation included?

Yes. The subscription includes up to 40 hours of configuration and setup. This is usually suitable for standard connector deployment, initial configuration, and basic onboarding. Additional configuration, custom development, or bespoke requirements can be quoted separately.

Do we need to pay Microsoft separately?

Yes. Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Customer Insights, Sales, Customer Service, Power Platform, and related Microsoft licences are not included in the Crimson connector subscription. Your organisation must maintain the required Microsoft licences based on your Dynamics 365 environment and usage.

Do we need to pay Tencent or WeCom separately?

Possibly. Some Tencent or WeCom features may require separate fees. For example, WeCom Message Archiving may be required if you want to capture and synchronise WeCom chat conversations into Dynamics 365. Additional external contact quota may also require a separate WeCom fee. These charges are controlled by Tencent/WeCom and are separate from Crimson’s connector subscription.

Is WeCom Message Archiving required?

WeCom Message Archiving is required if your organisation wants to capture user-to-user chat messages or synchronise WeCom conversations into Dynamics 365. If your use case does not require conversation archiving, this feature may not be required.

Is the WeChat Connector the same as the WeCom Connector?

No. They support different scenarios. The WeChat Connector is designed for WeChat Official Account engagement, campaign communication, follower tracking, enquiries, marketing journeys, and public channel engagement. The WeCom Connector is designed for WeCom external contact management, one-to-one communication, customer service, sales follow-up, conversation capture, and relationship management. Many organisations use both together to support the full customer journey.

Can we use only one connector?

Yes. You can subscribe to the WeChat Connector, the WeCom Connector, or both depending on your requirements.

Is support included?

Yes. Basic support and maintenance are included in the subscription. Additional support arrangements, enhanced SLA, dedicated support, training, or custom development support can be discussed as part of your proposal.

Are product updates included?

Standard connector maintenance and updates are included as part of the subscription. Customer-specific changes, bespoke enhancements, or project-based customisation may be quoted separately.

Can the solution be customised?

Yes. The connector can be configured for your Dynamics 365 environment and business process. If your organisation requires custom entities, additional automation, bespoke reporting, custom security logic, advanced Customer Insights journeys, or integration with other systems, this can be scoped separately.

Where is the data stored?

Long-term business data is stored in your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Dataverse environment. The hosted integration service processes data required for integration but does not act as the long-term system of record for your customer data.
